Name: Diane Glidewell Fitzgibbons
I am looking for any information on my father's family surname GLIDEWELL--his mother's research has been completed (Clara Bell Sayre) back to 1600's, but my grandfather (Leonard George GLIDEWELL) is harder to trace. His parents were George W. GLIDEWELL b.2-2-1861, and married (3-20-1887) to Nancy JUDD b.12-30-1864. There seems to be a number of Glidewells that are no relation--I appreciate any help.

In November of 1996 I found a postcard at an antique dealer in Denton County Texas. It is a family picture. The names are on the picture. If anyone descends from this Bailey family and can prove it to me the post card can be obtained from me. I saw the postcard and thought it would be very valuable to someone doing family research. It cost me a total of $2.16. But I will give it to someone that can name some of the people on the postcard and can sufficiently prove to me they are related.

(my2ggf) b 1848 Sullivan Co.; Isaac H. b.1849 MO; Elizabeth E. b 1852 MO;John W. b 1856 MO; Lucinda G. or J.b 1858 MO; and Martha C. b 1861 MO, married 1874 James MEDLOCK, died 1938 WA. I have not been able to locate any information on Amanda's parents or siblings, John Sr. death, or David SAMPLES first marriage? If there are any WILSON researchers interested in this family, I have a lot of information on the children, both SAMPLES and WILSON. One of the WILSON boys left Washington and went to California - I believe it was John W.

Am researching James A. BAKER b. Indiana 1828 who married Rebecca AMBERCROMBIE in Sullivan Co. March 29, 1876. Children of this union are unknown, however James had other children by two former marriages, 1st to Nancy BAKER g. daughter of George Washington BAKER and 2nd to Catherine BULL who was also previously married to another BAKER, Bolin or B.B. James had four children with 1st wife Nancy: Sarah, Charlotte, Ailey, and Lewis. He then married Catherine who had two children from her previous marriage, Eveline and Frances. Together they had four more, Richard, Clara, and Harvey Lawson. Would love to know James's or Catherine's parents. There were so many Bakers running around Linn and Sullivan Counties at that time and they frequently intermarried, so have found several James Bakers but so far, none appear to be mine. This James moved to Canadian Co. OK and died in El Reno, Ok in 1919. Other branches include STUFFLEBEAN, MCCOLLUM, & DAVIS.
